Heyyy! I’m a 21-year-old writer and performer born and raised in Bothell, Washington. My journey as an artist began as a little five-year-old, whose Dad brought a bunch of her friends together to put on a cute dance at our Seattle Indian community’s cultural event. Despite the lack of rhythm and body coordination, baby Diya knew that she belonged on the stage. Since then, I’ve grown my training as a performer and musician, but it wasn't until right before I entered high school that I discovered the world of musical theatre and fell in love. Now I'm a recent graduate with a BFA in Music Theatre and Content Creation from AMDA College of the Performing Arts. I've grown a strong foundation in musical theatre, written an original one-person show and a ton of music, and still, that itch to perform has never gone away. My dream is to keep creating art that represents my cultural identities and portrays themes of vulnerability, speaking to a variety of audiences.
